Professing to be Wise...

From Breitbart.com:  "Activists Want Chimp Declared a 'Person'"

"In a case that could set a global legal precedent for granting basic rights to apes, animal rights advocates are seeking to get the 26- year-old male chimpanzee legally declared a 'person.'   Hiasl's supporters argue he needs that status to become a legal entity that can receive donations and get a guardian to look out for his interests."

I have often wondered when something like this might occur.  In reality, it is a logical outcome of the that fanciful and un-scientific hypothesis known as evolution.  At least these people have enough intellectual honesty to see the full implication of Darwin's theories.  Why not go further by extending personhood to more animals in order to encourage and foster their continued ascent?   Sadly, the race is on as many run headlong into greater error.

Romans 1:22-23:

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
